Taipei, Taiwan 22nd of May 2019.
Netberg Ethernet switch portfolio is expanded with the introduction of the Aurora 610 25/100G model.
The Aurora 610 is a high performance and programmable ToR and aggregation switch designed for Data centers, large Enterprises as well as Service Provider large scale Layer 2 and Layer 3 network deployments. Virtualized, overlay, and traditional Data center networks are fully supported.
2.0Tbps line-rate performance, 22MB on-chip buffer memory, powerful quad-core x86 CPU on the control plane, PHY-less design for low latency are a perfect combination for today’s network applications. Combined with industry-standard copper DAC cables and SFP-MSA compliant optics, the switch delivers flexibility and openness.
Software options include Azure SONiC, an open source project for network routers and switches, and Open Network Linux with P4 SDE for a custom network application development.
“The new Aurora 610 switch completes our Tofino-based product line,” said Alex Ustyuzhanin, CEO of Netberg. “With this model at the leaf layer, Aurora 710 at spine, and Aurora 750 as a super spine unit, we can offer a complete DC network design using only Barefoot-based solutions. It is also BMC-enabled, providing a server-like remote power control and monitoring”.
All Aurora models are subjects of immediate availability.
