Netberg Ethernet switch portfolio for the data centers is completed with the introduction of Aurora 620 25G/100G model.
The Aurora 620 is targeted to a ToR/leaf layer with it’s 48 25 Gigabit host ports and six 100 Gigabit uplinks. Combined with industry-standard copper DAC cables and SFP-MSA compliant optics, it’s an ideal cost-effective solution for cloud, HPC and Enterprise applications.
Software options include ICOS, a feature-rich L2/L3/SDN web-scale NOS with industry-standard CLI and Linux shell management capabilities, and OpenSwitch, an open source, Linux-based network operating system (NOS) designed to power enterprise grade switches. Ubuntu with OpenNSL is available for a custom network application development.
“The new 25G switch confirms our commitment to deliver open, cost-effective solutions with an uncompromised performance for the most demanding application of any scale,” said Alex Ustyuzhanin, CEO of Netberg. “With Aurora 720 we were able to replace a 40G technology, but the goal is to replace both 10G and 40G infrastructure by offering a 25G and 100G switches at the same price point, and now we are able to do it on both Spine and Leaf layers. Today we have three products, Aurora 220, Aurora 620, and Aurora 720 to meet the needs of the most challenging data center applications and architectures”.
All Aurora models are subjects of immediate availability.
