Taipei, Taiwan 21th of July 2016.
Along with OpenSwitch implementation on it’s Aurora Ethernet switch products, Netberg has joined the P4 language consortium.
P4 is a high-level language for programming protocol-independent packet processors. P4 works in conjunction with SDN control protocols like OpenFlow and used in an ASIC simulator for OpenSwitch.
Same P4 switch plugin can work on the P4 device; that means a seamless transition to a real ASIC once they are available for the mass deployment.
